Former Manchester United star Tobin Heath has claimed that the club's women's team were let down by the board during the 2020-21 season. United finished fourth in that Women's Super League campaign but they had been top in December. Heath - who has been capped 181 times by the USA - scored four goals in eight WSL games under manager Casey Stoney in 2020-21. Both Heath and Stoney then left United before the start of the following campaign.

A United States women's national soccer team legend has not ruled out a return to the international stage of the sport and the four-time World Cup champions in the near future. She has not played for club or country since 2022, dealing with a cartilage issue that has required two surgeries. Her last appearance for the national team came in October 2021. She was an integral member of the 2015 and 2019 teams that won back-to-back World Cups.

The No. 1 draft pick and Indiana struggled through their first five games and headed into the City of Stars after an 85-83 loss to the Seattle Storm on Wednesday. However, they did not let their lead slip away as they took the 78-73 win over LA in a house of 19,103 spectators. Clark only had five points before reaching into her arsenal of long-range shooting to put the nail in the coffin in the dying minutes. With 2:27 left in the game, Clark hit a 33'foot pull-up to give Indiana a six-point cushion.
The 'Under Pressure' doc on the USWNT was supposed to tell the tale of a World Cup three-peat contest but instead it depicts the demise of a herd, raising more questions than answers regarding the US's future

'Under Pressure' was supposed to be the tale of three-peat champions, but Netflix had the opportunity to tell a different - and perhaps larger - story: the demise of a giant. The behind-the-scenes coverage of the USWNT's 2023 World Cup was sold as an inside peek into the team's search for a third victory on the bounce. However, when the United States crashed out of the tournament in a dramatic penalty shootout against Sweden, the streaming giant's access was cut unexpectedly short. But, Netflix still had to turn up. Rather, the four-part docuseries had the opportunity to capture what fans actually wanted to hear - the demise of the USWNT's triumph - while still putting into perspective just what the USA's place is in the field of women's soccer today.

The Blues' two young American stars aren't going to get the hang of this. However, there are other topics that are more urgent.
