Boxing magnate Turki Alalshikh has announced the inaugural card for the return of Riyadh Season to Saudi Arabia, with the world light heavyweight title fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dimitry Bivol topping the billing on a stacked evening. The Gulf state is expected to play host to another slew of high profile fight nights on the heels of their last programme, which featured clashes between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, Anthony Joshua, and Deontay Wilder. A US iteration launched on August 3, with the meeting between Terence Crawford and Ismail Madrimov, while September will see the hotly anticipated UK showdown between British fighters Joshua and Daniel Dubois at Wembley. 

Saudi Arabian boxing kingpin Turki Alalshikh has accused Canelo Alvarez of 'looking for easier fights' and 'wasting our time' after the Mexican superstar demanded £118million to fight Terence Crawford. Speculation of a super-fight between Alvarez and Crawford ramped up after the latter dethroned Israil Madrimov to claim the WBA and vacant WBO super welterweight world titles. Alalshikh even extended an offer to Alvarez's camp the same day of Crawford's bout against Madrimov, such was his desire to stage the fight.

Terence Crawford called for a super-fight with Canelo Alvarez after he became a four-weight world champion on Saturday night. Crawford, 36, has not been shy in making his intentions clear that he wants to get in the ring with the Mexican superstar, but he first had to deal with Uzbekistan's Israil Madrimov as he stepped up to the super-welterweight division for the first time. In a cagey, tactical battle, Crawford did just enough to get his hand raised with the judges scoring the bout 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113 in his favour.

Terence Crawford is a short odds-on favourite to defeat current WBA super welterweight champion Isril Madrimov and become a four-division world champion. Meanwhile, Madrimov is a sizeable outsider at 6/1, while a draw is the widest result in the head-to-head market at 16/1. In terms of the method of victory - Crawford is 8/11 to win by KO/TKO and 15/8 to win by decision. Crawford has won his last 11 fights by knockout or technical knockout dating back to 2016. Conversely, Madrimov is 8/1 to be victorious by KO/TKO and a wider 12/1 to get the nod on the judges' scorecards.

Chris Eubank Jr has signed with promotional company, BOXXER - which was founded by the UK's youngest licensed promoter Ben Shalom. The Las Vegas-based fighter believes the partnership with BOXXER will help him secure fights with pound-for-pound stars Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford. The former two-time IBO world super middleweight and WBA Interim World Middleweight Champion will also look to settle his long standing feuds with domestic rivals Conor Benn and Billy Joe Saunders under Shalom.

Crawford, 36, is seeking a world title in a fourth different weight division when he takes on the recently-crowned WBA light-middleweight world champion, Madrimov, at the BMO Stadium. After a humiliating defeat to towering American Sebastian Fundora, a bloodied Tim Tszyu has been mercifully denied in his effort to imitate his legendary father Kostya and emerge as a united world boxing champion. Tszyu's first defeat in 25 fights, he forfeited his WBO super welterweight belt and missed his chance to occupy the vacant T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and take his spot among the sport's elite. In a split decision, Tszyu lost the contest after the judges ruled in favour of Fundora 116 112, 113-113, 112-116.

Sebastian Fundora, his 197cm compatriot, will be giving the Aussie a massive reach advantage. However, a look at the American's preparations for their world championship competition shows that he has a weakness.

As he faces Sebastian Fundora (pictured together, main) - who stands at a whopping 22 cents taller than him - the Aussie is putting his world title on the line. However, if he comes out on top, the 29-year-old will receive a record-setting reward.

Chris Eubank Jr has reportedly confirmed rumors that he will be fighting Terence Crawford. According to iFL TV, the American and the Brit were in talks for a surprise confrontation in the summer. According to the article, pound-for-pound No. 1 Crawford would face Eubank Jr. in two divisions.
