A medical examiner found that Liberty University football player Tajh Boyd died by suicide. Boyd, a 19-year-old freshman offensive lineman from Chesapeake, Virginia, died last week. The Western District Medical Examiner Office determined that Boyd took his own life as reported by CBS 6 News and 10 WAVY.

Tajh Boyd, a football player at Liberty University in Virginia, has died just weeks before his 20th birthday. 'We're sad to hear the death of Tajh Boyd, one of our student athletes,' head coach Jamey Chadwell and athletic director Ian McCaw declared in a department statement.' Boyd, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound freshman from Chesapeake, Virginia, was not identified with a cause of death. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tajh's family, his colleagues and acquaintances, our football coaching staff, as well as our entire athletics group and the greater Liberty University community.' During these difficult times, we mourne together as a family and will seek guidance, protection, and wisdom from the Lord.'
