Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has been charged with misconduct by the FA after he displayed 'improper' behaviour in the aftermath of his side's defeat to Fulham. The club once again blasted the standard of refereeing in the top flight over the weekend, claiming it was 'destroying the Premier League ' after their 1-0 loss to the Cottagers. Forest were reportedly aggrieved that Fulham were awarded their winning penalty by VAR while they were denied two spot-kicks by reviews in Stockley Park. It comes after their extraordinary statement in April when they blasted 'three extremely poor decisions' regarding penalty calls that went against them in a 2-0 loss to Everton .

RYAN WALKER AT THE CITY GROUND: Fulham needed a controversial penalty to claim three points at the City Ground as Mexican striker Raul Jimenez scored for the third consecutive match to secure a 1-0 victory and inflict a first defeat of the season on Nottingham Forest. On the face of it this was what neutrals might call a dead rubber fixture, but tell that to those in attendance as both Nottingham Forest and Fulham arrived at the City Ground above Man United and Spurs in the Premier League standings and each boasting ambitions to put early pressure on those above them in the chase for European football. Fast forward from their last May encounter - that saw Forest secure a win that eventually helped keep them in the division - and they arrived at home unbeaten, having claimed a historic victory at Anfield and a chance of sneaking into the top four.

ADAM SHERGOLD CITY GROUND: Nottingham Forest has been through to an FA Cup fifth round match with Manchester United after beating Bristol City on penalties. After a dismal few weeks, goalkeeper Matt Turner was their hero, saving Sam Bell's spot, while all five of Forest's kicks were on point, providing a much-needed boost at the City Ground. Divock Origi gave Forest a lead early in the game, but they lacked the confidence to put the city to bed, and after captain Jason Knight equalized the visitors more than 120 minutes, they lost more than 30 minutes.

Arsenal's second half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka enabled Arsenal to narrow the gap on Premier League leader Liverpool to two points, but this did not prevent Zinchenko and White from clashing shortly after the final whistle. With Manchester City expected to run hot through the second half of the season and Liverpool hoping to reclaim emotional energy from the final months of the Jurgen Klopp period, it would have been a bad night on which to forfeit any advantage. Liverpool, the leaders, performed on Wednesday night and then visited the Emirates on Sunday. Arsenal may have been 11 points down if the wrong combination of results and tactics had been used. All of that and more seemed to be possible at halftime. Arsenal's lame, tame version of themselves in the first 45 minutes seemed to be a little too early, despite all the changes under coach Mikel Arteta's guidance. All possessions are present but no punch were made. All territories are untouched, but there is no such danger.
