Mathers was cast straight out of drama school and remained with the company as an ensemble member until the start of the Sydney season in 2009. Suzie was forced to appear in the leading role of Sophie in the tenth anniversary Australian tour of Mamma Mia!, which toured nationally in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane.

Suzie performed her 500th appearance as Glinda during the Brisbane season, and when the show comes to a conclusion in Perth in mid-2015, she is expected to have appeared over 580 times.
