The lawyers, as well as two journalists who joined the litigation, are Americans and allege that the CIA broke their US constitutional rights for confidential discussions with Assange, who is Australian. According to them, the CIA operated with a security company contracted by the Ecuadoran embassy in London, where Assange was stationed at the time, to spy on the WikiLeaks founder, his lawyers, journalists, and others he met with.
