Wow, we’ve come a long way from this first day of school many moons ago. Happy first day of school to everyone heading back! And if you’re a parent and you haven’t heard this yet GREAT JOB!! Great job getting all of the many items organized and into backpacks. Great job hunting for the correct color folders and bazillion pencils and glue sticks. Pat yourself on the back for not losing it at 9pm last night when you realized the new school shoes you bought no longer fit because…well…your child’s feet grew in the last 24 hrs. Look in the mirror and say “You’re Awesome” and know that you have done a great job preparing them for a successful year with a lot more than “things”. Now, I’m going to either get to work, go workout or curl up with a cup of tea and cry while looking at baby pics ….What’s your back to school regimen? 26 years ago today. Yikes! Balance Beam gold for USA. I have always loved balance beam, not that it was always my best or that it always went well, but I loved this event. I loved the challenge, the detail, the physics, the way I could always work to improve. And, wow, when it went well and everything clicked the way you knew you had trained it….it’s just magical.
