Many people think their votes don’t make a difference, or that government will operate in the same fashion no matter which party is in power. That could not be farther from the truth, particularly this November 8th. The disastrous and shortsighted decision by the Supreme Court to deny basic reproductive rights to women across the nation has set the stage for Republicans to seize backward momentum and introduce a nationwide abortion ban. No matter what state you live in. If the GOP regains control of Congress, their base will pressure them to support this, despite opposition by a majority of Americans to the overturning of Roe v. Wade (and despite the GOP’s repeated assertion that the decision was simply a States’ rights issue). We face a binary choice. There aren’t currently enough votes, however with at least 52 Democratic Senators and a Democratic House of Representatives, reproductive rights will be protected. If Republicans take the reins, all bets are off and womens’ rights will fall even more deeply into question. This ain’t calculus. Your vote matters more than ever. Vote on November 8th. The “Pillars of Creation”, newly imaged by NASA’s James Webb Telescope, seen here in unprecedented detail. The colossal masses of gas and dust that form an arm of the Eagle Nebula extend for light years across space. You can also see glowing red patches scattered about the image, which are the sites of brand-new stars being born. And if you look REALLY hard, you can spot the Orville. There’s a lot of whiskey out there. So for me to put my name on it, you know it's either great, or I’m getting paid a ton of money. Well, they’re paying me almost nothing which means Bear Fight is damn good whiskey.
