Scotty McCreery stops show after seeing man hit woman at his gig

Country singer Scotty McCreery interrupted his show to kick out a man who allegedly struck a woman in the audience. During his set at the Colorado State Fair on Saturday, the singer, 30, abruptly stopped his set to call out the man who he was able to view from the stage.  Videos posted online capture the moment McCreery brought the 'unacceptable' incident to attention during a performance of his track It Matters To Her. 

On Wednesday night, a beloved college football stadium hosted two volleyball games in Lincoln, Nebraska, and in doing so, set a record for the largest audience ever at a women's sporting event. A record-breaking 92,003 spectators packed into Memorial Stadium, where two pre-season exhibition volleyball matches took place less than two weeks before the Cornhuskers football team's home opener. The festival began with an exhibition by in-state Division II powers Nebraska-Kearney and Wayne State, which was followed by the Huskers' three-set sweep of Omaha in a regular-season match. Afterward, country artist Scotty McCreery appeared. The previous attendance record for an Orlando Stadium soccer match, when Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 5-2 at the Camp Nou Stadium in 2022, was 91,648, set during a Champions League soccer match. Officially, the Memorial Stadium's capacity is just over 85,000 for football, but the event's capacity was higher because there were seats and standing room on the field.

Scotty McCreery and his partner Gabi have celebrated their first Christmas with their baby boy Merrick Avery. On social media, the 29-year-old American Idol champion posted a Christmas card featuring himself, Gabi, and the baby, who was propped up inside a gift bag next to the family's dog Moose. Scotty wrote in the caption for his nearly 663,000 followers on Instagram, 'Favorite Christmas cards yet.'

Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi announced on Tuesday that they had welcomed Merrick 'Avery' McCreery, a baby boy from the United States, in a message that was posted on his Instagram account. The 28-year-old entertainer posted many photographs of his baby boy on his website, as well as a series of portraits depicting his wife, who was also 28 years old. In his post's caption, the performer also wrote a letter in which he said he'never known a love like this.'
