The professional golfer's invitation was sent to an amateur golfer with the same name as a result of some apparent confusion. 'Hi Scott,' read a direct message sent to the PGA Tour participant.' My name is Scott Stallings, and I'm from Georgia, and my wife's name is Jennifer.' I received a FedEx from the Masters today, inviting me to participate in the Master's (sic) Tournament, which will take place April 6-9, 2023. I am [100 percent] positive this is not for me. I play but wow! I'm not sure (sic) at your height.'

Patrick Cantlay defended his title at the BMW Championship on Sunday, becoming the first player to successfully defend a FedEx Cup playoffs tournament. The 30-year-old shot birdie at the 17th hole at Wilmington Country Club on Saturday to win by a single shot over Scott Stallings. Cantlay won the FedEx Cup at the Tour Championship the following week after winning the same event last year at Caves Valley.
