Ashleigh Werner, a Brisbane NRLW winger, has pleaded not guilty to biting Sydney Roosters colleague Jayme Fressard and will appear in the NRL courthouse in Sydney on Tuesday night. In the 54th minute of the Broncos' 36-18 loss to the Roosters on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday night, Werner was suspended for reportedly biting Fressard. When the Roosters winger made the tackle, Fressard's arm was in touch with Werner's head and mouth. Fressard was said to have been bitten, the Bunker investigated the incident, and Werner was given marching orders.
