Sara Tomic (born 5 February 1998) is a professional Australian tennis player. She is Bernard Tomic, the younger sister of tennis player Bernard Tomic.

She won her first professional-level title in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, in June 2015.

Tomic was born in Gold Coast, Queensland, and she made her senior Grand Slam debut at the 2015 Australian Open partnering Naiktha Bains in the doubles event.

Career

Tomic was primarily active on the ITF Junior Circuit. She was given wildcards into the Sydney International, Australian Open, and Burnie International, where she lost in first rounds. She won a Grade-4 event in Kawana as well as a a Grade-B2 competition in Lautoka, Fiji, at the junior level. She was also runner-up in a Grade 3 in Beijing and a Grade 4 in Burleigh Waters. She captured two doubles titles with Xu Shilin, including the Grade-A Osaka Mayor's Cup and a Grade B1 in Seogwipo.

In the first round, Tomic had toyed with wildcards after losing to Alexandra Dulgheru. She was then granted another qualifying and doubles wildcard into the Australian Open, where she defeated Ekaterina Bychkova in three sets in the first round. Naiktha Bains was partnered in the doubles competition, but Anastasia Rodionova and Arina Rodionova were disqualified in the first round. Tomic reached the third round of the junior Australian Open before losing to eventual champion Tereza Mihalková and losing in the semifinals of the doubles event, partnering Xu Shilin.

Tomic shifted her attention to the pro circuit instead, winning her first title at a $10k Sharm El Sheikh tournament in July and boosting her ranking into the top 100.
