Tommy Paul is the new United States No 1 after winning his first grass-court title at Queen's Club on Sunday to head into Wimbledon leading the American charge. The 27-year-old beat Italian Lorenzo Musetti 6-1, 7-6 in 88 minutes in a commanding display to win his third tour-level title and said: 'This is the perfect way to go to Wimbledon. Thank you to all of you guys for coming out and watching.' Paul became the first American player to win on the prestigious London grass since Sam Querrey in 2010 and joined the likes of Pete Sampras, Jimmy Connors and Andy Roddick to triumph here.

Novak Djokovic's French Open title defense - and his hold on No 1 in the rankings - are still alive thanks to a 7-5, 6-7 (6), 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 comeback victory over 22-year-old Italian Lorenzo Musetti. The third-round match at Roland Garros lasted four and a half hours, with Djokovic only securing victory after 3am in Paris - the latest finish in tournament history. It looked for a period as if Djokovic's annus horriblis would continue, with the 24-time Grand Slam champion in danger of his earliest Grand Slam defeat for eight years - since he went out at the same stage to Sam Querrey at Wimbledon in 2016.

Skupski and Koolhof met Steve Johnson and Sam Querman of the United States and won 6-3, 6-7, 6-4. Skupski and Koolhof will meet Max Purcell and Matthew Ebden in the next round on Monday, based on the results.
