After ultimately dropping eight points in those three games however, they backed up their electric start with four goals in a scintillating first-half display to heap the pressure on Wolves and Gary O'Neil.

AADAM PATEL AT MOLINEUX: A stunning strike from Harvey Barnes completed a remarkable comeback for Newcastle as they overcame Wolves 2-1 at Molineux. Barnes came on at the start of the second half but saved his biggest impact for the 80th minute when he cut infield from the left wing and unleashed a curling effort into the top right corner. The winger's goal came just five minutes after Fabian Schar scored the equaliser when he scored a long-range effort that took a cruel deflection off of Craig Dawson and beyond Sam Johnstone's reach.

Wolves have announced the signing of the former Crystal Palace and Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. The 31-year-old has agreed to a four-year contract after spending the last two seasons at Selhurst Park. Mail Sport previously reported that Johnstone was on Wolves' radar after losing his regular place on the pitch to Dean Henderson following the arrival of Oliver Glasner.

Surgery is not being ruled out, and if Johnstone requires an operation, he will almost certainly miss the European Championships.

According to Mail Sport, the stopper will be brought on as a replacement for Sam Johnstone. Trafford was suspended for the first time this season, only Burnley's first player to play in every minute of every league game.
