Link Solutions was fined £50 million for failing to doom the Woodford flagship fund

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 21, 2022
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued the fine, the latest indication that a long-running probe into the Woodford investment company's demise is coming to an end. Hundreds of thousands of savers were left out-of-pocket when Link - the company that was in charge of overseeing Woodford's administration of his funds, decided to suspend the £3.7 billion Woodford Equity Income Fund in 2019 and then close it down.

FCA has fined Link Group £50 million for the Woodford fiasco

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 21, 2022
Link Fund Solutions was issued with a draft Warning Notice by the regulator today, giving the organization the opportunity to respond in the next 14 days. It gives Link the opportunity to settle the lawsuit by compromise, after which it will be able to challenge the FCA's findings at the Regulatory Decisions Committee and Upper Tribunal.

Don't try to ride the latest SUPERCYCLE because it's so risky, especially now

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 3, 2022
When the going gets tough, we often hear about the investment cycle, which is a way of describing how the economy expands, jobs, and then increases, but it has a huge effect on our investments. Any investors use this cycle to figure out when to buy and sell and choose which segments and companies to choose. If you believe that economies move in cycles, it follows that bad times will eventually turn to good and vice versa, and that different types of investment can come and go out of favor. It's a belief that can assist in picking winning tactics ahead of a change in mood. That is assuming they have time on their side and follow expert advice, not to be dependent on any one sector or product class.
