According to Bournemouth, they triggered Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams' release clause after submitting a bid worth £20 million earlier this week. Since he signed a new one last summer before the club fell back into the Championship last year, Adams' contract included a time-limited relegation provision, it is believed. He was expected to leave Elland Road and appeared to have found his next destination on the south coast, but only for the potential change to reach the buffers.

The Cherries will loan him out to Lorient, where he spent the second half of last season on loan and scored five goals in 17 games. He divides his time between the right flank and the central attacking midfield.
