The NFL is opening its doors to an exclusive new group of wealthy investors.   Team owners voted Tuesday to approve limited stakes in NFL teams for private equity firms in a move that could permanently alter the league's financial landscape. The vote took place at a special session organized by commissioner Roger Goodell in Minnesota, where NFL team owners approved the sale up to 10 percent of any franchise to a select number of private equity firms, which have already been vetted by the league.

Former Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden lost his bid to keep his lawsuit against the NFL in the courts and out of an arbitration process that may overseen by commissioner Roger Goodell. Goodell is named as a defendant in the lawsuit, which Gruden filed in 2021 following his resignation with the Raiders. A federal judge in California is ordering the NFL to pay about $4.7 billion in a class-action lawsuit after ruling in favor of Sunday Ticket subscribers on Thursday. During a news conference on Wednesday, Goodell told the press that 'progress is being made' with the process as parties work through issues - particularly with Brady's upcoming role as FOX's lead NFL analyst. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has enlisted the help of an unlikely ally to help promote the upcoming NFL Draft.  Rap legend Eminem has taken part in a promotional advert alongside the commissioner ahead of this year's event, which begins in Detroit on Thursday. The short clip, posted on social media, shows Eminem sitting alongside Goodell in a studio. 

One or two of its media partners is likely to give the NFL a Christmas gift early this year. With the league's recent news that two games would be played this year, the league is expected to open the bidding to NBC, Fox Sports, CBS, ESPN-ABC, and Amazon Prime Video, a multi-billion-dollar franchise that will collectively pay the NFL $110 billion through 2033. Front Office Sports was the first to announce the bidding process. The NFL refused to respond to the website, and did not respond to DailyMail.com's request for more details right away.
