Personal life
Winklaar has three children and lives in Amsterdam in the off season. At Oxygen Gym in Kuwait City, he does his competition preparations. Quincy's younger brother is also an IFBB Pro League bodybuilder.
Early life and career
Roelly was born in Curaçao. When he was four years old, his father died in a motorcycle accident. When he was five years old, his mother moved the family to Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Despite liking bodybuilding from a young age, he only became serious about the sport after a near-fatal car accident brought his life into sharper focus. He then set his sights on becoming a pro, which he achieved by winning his pro card in 2009 and then winning in New York City in 2010.
He spent a majority of his childhood under Sibil "Grandma" Peeters' watchful eyes, granting him a sophisticated exercise regimen to get the most out of every movement. He lived in Almere for a few years before heading to the United States as a professional.
Professional career
Roelly resurfaced in 2010 IFBB Arnold Classic, turning heads with his massive physique, winning him a strong seventh-place finish in a deep field in his IFBB debut. Roelly stunned analysts by winning the 2010 IFBB New York Pro Grand Prix, placing third in third place at the 2010 IFBB Australia Pro Grand Prix. A new star had appeared out of nowhere.
Winklaar received a boost of confidence and became a force to be reckoned with after his first Mr Olympia qualification. This was remarkable considering that he defeated more established veterans like [Hideta Yamagishi and Dennis Wolf]. Winklaar has been one of the top bodybuilding pros since the 2010s, with one of the top five in the Mr. Olympia finals (3rd).
