Rochelle Owens Career

Life and career

Owens is Maxwell and Molly (Adler) Bass' daughter. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and later attended the New School for Social Research and the University of Montreal.

After a brief marriage to David Owens, she married poet George Economou on June 17, 1962. Owens has worked at Brown University, the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Owens lives in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, and Philadelphia as of 2018. In Gale Research Contemporary Authors, Volume 2 (1983), her biography is included. She was named in La MaMa's Coffeehouse Chronicles series in 2006.
