Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea lists $7 million futuristic LA mansion for sale that also includes a 'masterpiece' midcentury house and a cabin on a sprawling five-acre property

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 22, 2024
Michael Peter Balzary, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' founding member, has relisted his Los Angeles mansion for nearly $7 million dollars. In 2018, the rock star first bought the 5.7 acres property for $4.25. In 2022, he attempted to sell the house for close to $10 million. This building, which is located north of downtown La Crescenta, is divided into two parts: the main house, which was built in the 2000s, and the property's original house.

Pink paint in Barbie's movie resulted in a worldwide shortage of pink paint

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 31, 2023
According to the highly awaited film's production designer, the Barbie film set used so much pink that "the world ran out of [it]. According to Architectural Digest, Greta Gerwig wanted to create "authenticity" for the Margot Robbie-led film, so she ordered that everything be hand-painted rather than using CGI. Because toys are things you touch, she wanted everything to be tactile.' The Rosco painters began with 100 pink hues, and the film's staff selected ten final tones for the set. The color journey was a challenge because of how the paint would change hues when mixing it with furniture or fabric, so Sarah said it was a "continued war."
