I'm a nutritionist - these are the surprising foods that are better for you frozen than fresh

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 19, 2024
The frozen aisle of the supermarket has got bad rap over the years, with many shoppers assuming fresh is best. But top diet experts say we've got it all wrong - and not enough of us are making use of the frozen section. It's not just vegetables and fruit that are recommended. According to leading nutritionist and best-selling author Rhiannon Lambert, even meat and fish may be better for you if they're frozen.

Are YOU a ! As Waitrose's latest trend shows how snacking is on the rise in Britain, Gen Z teens are raiding the kitchen to create bizarre snack combinations

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 5, 2024
Humans are mimicring rodent-like habits by scavenging for any old scraps of food to try and make up a meal, which is part of a strange trend, called 'rat snacking.' Any out-of-this-ordinary food combination would be a 'rat snack,' whether you're looking for drizzling chocolate on a Ritz cracker or mixing humous with dark chocolate. The trend is so popular that Waitrose included it in its annual Food and Drink survey, revealing that young people are more likely to swap the traditional three meals a day with snacking. The report reads: 'Those aged 18-24 are the group who snack the most frequently and social media is awash with people showing plates of artfully arranged snacks, kicking off one of this year's most weirdest-sounding trends for #ratsnacks - the unashamed joy of eating unusual snack combos (that only you enjoy!)' It's often from raiding the pantry cupboards that the recipes were made.'

The Truth Behind Jab's weight loss Jab will be revealed by GPs

www.popsugar.co.uk, June 15, 2023
When it was announced last week, it's the healthcare tale that went viral on social media. In an attempt to solve the UK's escalating obesity epidemic, the NHS will soon provide obese people with a new weight loss jab. It wasn't long before the announcement was shared and re-shared that it was not long before a buzzword that a lot of us had never heard of before: Wegovy. It's no secret that the UK is battling an obesity epidemic. According to the Health Survey for England, 25.9% of adults in 2021 were obese, with some who have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more, with another 37.9% categorized obese but not obese. This puts the NHS under pressure, and so the government has sponsored a £40 million two-year pilot program to combat the problem with a weight-loss drug.
