Four migrants were escorted into New York City on buses from the US-Mexico border earlier this month after allegedly shoplifting thousands of dollars. Antonio Angel Rojas, 19, Rafael Rojas, 21, and Jose Garcia Escobar, 30, have been arrested for traveling from Manhattan to Nassau County to steal more than $3,400 in merchandise from the Macy's Roosevelt Field mall. Since Republican governors began delivering migrants to New York City last year, an estimated 40,000 asylum seekers have arrived in the Big Apple. Mayor Eric Adams made news this week by stating that migrants will always be welcome.
