Sam Smith's BRIT Awards company piqued some people. I won't be wearing anything similar, but it's worth remembering the uproar caused by actors like David Bowie and Peter Gabriel. They also experimented with clothing in the 1970s. Progress can't always be a priority. The alignment of the Sun and Uranus yesterday insists that expressing ourselves can be fun! The more we act with ferociousness, the greater the joy will be.

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 20, 2023
This is the third time I've seen one of my Facebook 'best of' music lists published outside of Facebook's social media page, which is exciting for me. My run is a little late this year, but I don't want to disappoint my readers here at the Daily Mail. One of the bands reached out to me after a slew of reader comments from last year's list, which was...cool. I've decided to imbue this piece with a 2023 feel and give you all a look ahead in the world of music this year.

JAN MOIR: Why is the BBC ashamed of its radio golden oldies, however loved they are?

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 19, 2023
JAN MOIR: Every morning, nine million of us tune in, soothed by his lowering presence and his peaty voice, with a hint of malt whisky bubbling over the smooth pebbles of pop. And now this! We're losing Ken, we're losing PopMaster, as well as the fluttering ribbon of contestants who have competed for many years. And no, not just for the chance to win a smart speaker or a CD wallet, but also for the opportunity to chat with Ken himself.

The woman who was locked in a 20-year feud with her neighbor over a 'awful' 50ft leylandii hedge has conceded defeat

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 8, 2022
A Somerset woman claims that the view from her house has been 'destroyed' thanks to a 'awful' 50ft tall 'forest.' Val Horton's (bottom right) bungalow in Somerset used to overlook Solsbury Hill in Somerset, which was prominently featured in a Peter Gabriel classic pop song from 1977. However, the Leylandii trees planted in 2001 (left) by her neighbor Valerie Vivian (bottom right) have now obscured Ms Horton's dining room, which is notably lacking the 'wonderful' view (top right). Ms Horton, a former civil servant, has worked to get the trees down for 20 years, hoping that they would be barred under the Antisocial Behaviour Act, which was designed to combat the trees.

The 'Murry Up, We're Dreaming' arrives at the right time

www.mtv.com, October 18, 2021
By Grant Sharples Everyone knows that sounds. The unforgettable melody emerges and rises to the surface just in time for the first chorus right away after pressing play. It's not particularly welcoming; it's high-pitched and uncanny, with a unique characteristic for one of the new millennium's most popular pop songs. Despite this, it's one of the best hooks on any song from the 1990s. In that respect, M83's musical architect Anthony Gonzalez may not have predicted its burgeoning success.
