The stage is well lit, the sun bestowing a welcome warmth on Firhill. The cast is assembled, more than 4,000 fans from all over the world. The cameramen prowl the sidelines, capturing images. The suffering Jags fans know we have had Thistle: The Glory (a short run that closed dramatically in 1971 after the League Cup triumph) and Thistle: The Comedy, some would unkindly suggest this has run and run. But now there is Grasping the Thistle, a documentary in production and headed by an impressive team that includes on its cv Netflix shows and an Academy Award.

At his home in Stirling, Paul McDonald, 44, discovered the ancient skeleton, where it had been preserved in clay at about 80 centi below ground level. Mr McDonald, a bone-blower who works with bones himself, wrote: "It's mind blowing." I've found a few old bottles and coins in the house six years ago, but I've always wanted to find something like this.' The dolphin was seen washing up when the area was part of a shoreline some time after the last Ice Age and was eaten by hunter-gatherers, but it is believed he died miles from the shoreline.

Why are young men like 22-year-old farmer Len taking their own lives and not seeking help?

The photographs form a touching slideshow of an idyllic rural childhood. Leonard Eadon was born as a newborn, sleeping on the chest of his beaming father Andy. Leonard - Lenn, to those he knew - is riding a tractor for the first time as a two-year-old. The photographs chronic a life of passion and everyday happiness in Cornwall, playing the drums, and sitting next to his beloved granny. Leonard, a well-known young farmer, died of suicide last year. The photographs were posted on Andy's website, and Lynda, 63, were designed in his memory.

Why Blue Monday isn't really blue: According to charities, there is no evidence that it exists

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 16, 2023
Blue Monday, the'sadest day of the year', does more harm than good, according to mental health charities, and may discourage depression sufferers from seeking the assistance they need. The source of Blue Monday's can be traced back to a marketing campaign launched by travel business Sky Travel in 2005, which was supposed to sell holidays to Britons. They asked British psychologist Cliff Arnall to forecast the most depressing day of the year, with the intention of persuading people to book a trip to Europe to help avoid these winter blues. Dr Arnall created an 'equation', which included aspects such as weather, debt, compensation, the date since Christmas, New Year's resolutions, low motivational levels, and 'need to take action'. The original 2005 result was January 24, but since then, it has almost been held on the third Monday of the year's first month. Dr. Arnall's equation has been debunked as essentially meaningless because environmental conditions such as 'weather' are so variable, resulting in the whole concept of Blue Monday being introduced as an example of how pseudoscience can spread as fact. But his concept was so popular that a tsunami of companies has now promoted Blue Monday giveaways or launch wellness apps each year to cash in on the trend.

Gerard Piqué's latest girlfriend has more than a passing similarity to his estranged wife Shakira, with her petite, athletic frame and a mass of curly blonde hair. Clara Chia Marti, 23, at a recent wedding and photographs (bottom left) capture her striking similarity to Colombia's pop star (top left) 45. However, Piqué is far from the only popular man to have a definite 'type' when it comes to his intimate interests. (Pictured left-right) Adam Levine, Simon Cowell, and Matt Bellamy have all fallen in love with women who look remarkably similar to their exes. Here are some of the most notable examples.
