Locals have been outraged by the proposal to build a new mansion by a hospitality tycoon who bought a £23 million hunting estate next to Balmoral. (below). In 2021, Alastair Storey (left) purchased the 11,500-acre Abergeldie Estate (top inset), which is located next door to the royal home in the Scottish Highlands. Storey, the company's CEO, also intends to create a luxurious self-catering unit and wildlife tours. However, many locals believe the proposals would be a blot on the scenic landscape around Royal Deeside, one of Queen Camilla's favorite scenes (right).

Patrick Heron, a retired Philadelphia police officer, pleaded guilty to a string of sex crimes involving young women and girls on Friday and was sentenced to 15 to 40 years in state jail. Heron came to a compromise with prosecutors ahead of a trial on more than 200 criminal charges, including child sex assault and kidnapping, which occurred between 2005 and 2022. He was first arrested in September 2022 for offences relating to unlawful sexual contact with young girls, photography depicting sex acts with young girls, and retaliation and bullying against victims and witnesses. The disgraced former cop was released but on 233 new charges, he was arrested again.
