CRAIG HOPE IN HELSINKI: This was a tough watch, England dominating possession but not the opposition. At least, that was, until the arrival of Ollie Watkins and Noni Madueke. Instantly, there was pace, incision and surprise. England looked like scoring every time they attacked and, with Watkins and Madueke on the field for just 15 minutes, they scored twice. Those goals were the difference in a 3-1 win here in Finland. Why, then, are England seemingly incapable of starting games with such intent? Again in Helsinki it was too slow, ponderous and a lot of it pointless. Anthony Gordon did not attempt to disguise his feelings in the summer when claiming that the team, without him in it, were too predictable. He was right.

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has urged referees to understand how emotions can get the better of players after an incident-packed draw with Chelsea. Espirito Santo's side battled hard to cling on to their point after seeing James Ward-Prowse dismissed after he received a second yellow card in the second half. Chris Wood had put Forest ahead before Noni Madueke responded for the hosts.

Enzo Maresca's side got their first win of the 2024-25 campaign, with Palmer setting up Noni Madueke for all three of his goals, while the former Man City star also found the back of the net himself. Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring for the Blues after two minutes with Mattheus Cunha levelling after 27 minutes. Palmer subsequently hit back with a second for Chelsea in the 45th minute, before Jorgen Strand Larsen's outstretched leg would ensure both sides went into the dressing rooms at half-time level.

JOE BERNSTEIN AT MOLINEUX: Hat-trick hero Noni Madueke silenced the boos from Wolves fans as Chelsea earned their first league win of the season on a chaotic afternoon at Molineux. After goals from Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer had been cancelled out by Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen, Madueke struck three times in the second half to claim the match ball in emphatic fashion. Joao Felix then came off the bench and celebrated his second Chelsea debut with a goal.

KIERAN GILL AT MOLINEUX: Chelsea picked up the first Premier League win of the Enzo Maresca era with a 6-2 thrashing of Wolves at Molineux on Sunday. Nicolas Jackson gave the Blues the lead after just 98 seconds, before Wolves struck back through Matheus Cunha. Cole Palmer and Jorgen Strand Larsen both found the net just before the break, before Noni Madueke scored a stunning 14 minute hat-trick at the start of the second half. Joao Felix added the cherry on top for Chelsea, with a sixth goal on his second debut for the club as Maresca's men got off the mark for the 2024-25 Premier League season.

Chelsea star Noni Madueke had the last laugh with Wolves supporters as he scored a hat-trick in his side's 6-2 win at Molineux. Madueke had angered Wolves fans prior to the game with a post on his Instagram story in which he wrote: 'Everything about this place is s***' and tagged Wolverhampton. Although Madueke quickly deleted the post, it was seen by many fans, with the winger subsequently writing: 'Damn wrong Instagram account.. you lot are too fast'.

Noni Madueke was a very popular man among Chelsea fans following his leading role in Sunday's 6-2 win at Wolves. However, as far as Wolves supporters were concerned Madueke was public enemy No 1 - and not just because of his 14-minute hat-trick in the second half. Madueke was booed and jeered by the home crowd at Molineux from the very first minute. Why? All because of an Instagram post that Madueke made public, apparently by accident, on the eve of the game.
