Following a 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, a night of resentment boiled over on the sidelines of the New York Giants' football team as quarterback Daniel Jones and head coach Brian Daboll appeared tumultuous. Daboll went over to his quarterback to talk to him as Jones was arriving late in the third quarter. Jones appeared to look at him and then walked away without saying a word. Daboll tried to go over to Jones on the bench and go over something with him on a tablet later in the night. Jones appeared to ignore him, and Daboll replied by flashing the tablet at an employee.

The first-year NFL head coach (right) was fired on Christmas Day after a 51-14 loss to the Rams with two games remaining in a lost season, allowing Broncos executives to start their search for a new head coach. Fans of the Seattle Seahawks expressed their dissatisfaction with ex-quarterback Russell Wilson's booing on his return to Lumen Field as a Bronco for his first regular season game since being drafted to Denver in March. Upon leaving the tunnel for the turf ahead of the first league game of Monday Night Football, the 33-year-old was treated with a hostile reception. Wilson and a fourth-round pick were traded to the Broncos in exchange for two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, and defensive lineman Shelby Harris. Noah Fant was also a part of the contract.
