Early life
Noah Gregory Centineo was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. He is of half Italian and half German descent. Taylor, his older sister, has died. He attended BAK Middle School of the Arts and then Boca Raton Community High School for ninth and tenth grade, where he played soccer. He moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and attended Agoura High School.
Personal life
Centineo revealed in a Harper's Bazaar interview in February 2020 that he had been sober for the past few years. He began when he was seventeen and ended on the eve of his 21st birthday, calling it "a really difficult time in my life." Favored Nations, a non-profit group that will raise funds for charity also in February 2020. The idea was born after Centineo teamed up with Omaze on a campaign that raised $280,000 for charity, giving a fan the opportunity to go on a hike and share a meal with him. Centineo was in a dating dispute with model Alexis Renney from March 2019 to January 2020.
Career
Centineo starred in the family film The Gold Retrievers in 2009. He appeared in small roles in the Disney Channel sitcoms Austin & Ally and Shake It Up. Centineo co-starred in the Disney Channel Original Film How to Build a Better Boy (2014) as Jaden Stark. He appeared as Ben Eastman in the Disney Channel comedy pilot Growing Up and Down this year, but the project was not picked up to continue.
In Freeform's drama series The Fosters, he took over Jesus Adams Foster. He made his debut in season three's episode "Lucky," which aired on August 17, 2015. Centineo was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Male in 2017.
