Nicke Andersson Career

Career

Andersson's passion began early in life with KISS as his favorite band, and he soon discovered his childhood friend and future bandmate Kenny Hkanssons' record collection and bands such as The Ramones and Sex Pistols. His passion for fanzines sparked as he increased his attention to heavier music, cassettes, and vinyl. Andersson, and many other bands, including Brain Dead Bodies, Belsen Barnen, Parodi, Maximal Skandal, Sons of Satan, Blasphemy, Nihilist, and a number of other bands, were not long before Andersson began playing drums and guitars in rock and metal bands such as Brain Dead Bodies, Andersson, Elihiy, Parodi, Maximal Skandal, Sons of Satan,

Andersson formed Nihilist after responding to an advertisement in a record store in Stockholm, entitled Heavy Sound. Entombed with a new bass player when Nihilist broke up in 1989. Andersson was mainly the drummer in the band, but he was also involved with bass, guitars, and vocals. Entombed took influences from many genres, but in the band's first two albums, Left Hand Path and Clandestine, the majority came from death metal. With their third album, the band began to incorporate more traditional influences from hard rock and heavy metal, and the album Wolverine Blues is widely believed to be the origins of death 'n' roll.

Andersson formed The Hellacopters as a side project with Dregen, Kenny Hkansson, and Robert Eriksson, all of whom had been roadies before Andersson's time in Entombed. They released their first single Killing Allan on their own label Psychout Records in January 1995. Supershitty to the Max is their first full-length album! In 1996, a Grammies was awarded for 25 hours, and later on, a runner was born in 25 hours. Anders Lindström and KISS were employed by the corporation in 1997 on their Scandinavian shows. With Payin' the Dues, the album was released next year. Andersson left Entombed to concentrate solely on his new band due to the band's success. Dr. John Gilmore, the guitarist from The Hellacopters, went full throttle on his other band Backyard Babies in the first year. The Hellacopters' third album, a new look at their music that was earlier garage/punk rock styles. The band's temporar replacements continued to tour before Robert 'Strings' Dahlqvist joined the band as their full-time guitarist. The band continued to record albums and tours extensively in Scandinavia, Europe, and other regions of the world, as well as opening The Rolling Stones on two shows in 2002. The Hellacopters joined forces with The Hives, Backyard Babies, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, and Millencolin in 2006 and embarked on a fruitful tour around Sweden. The band split up after the release of their 7th full-length album 'Head off,' a collection of cover songs that was followed in 2008 by a tour of Europe and Scandinavia.

The band appeared in multiple shows in the United States as part of the former Sonic's Rendezvous Band singer Scott Morgan, who was on tour in the United States with The Hellacopters. The Hydromatics were born in 1997, and the first known Parts Unknown followed. Andersson and Morgan teamed up in 2004 again under the name The Solution to Communicate, which was a precursor to Will Not Be Televised in 2007.

Andersson and Robert Pehrsson founded Death Breath in 2005. Scott Carlson and Erik Wallin followed shortly, rounding out the band's lineup. The band performs metal music influenced by Andersson's all-time favorite early metal bands such as Venom, Autopsy, and Celtic Frost. In 2006, the band released Stinking Up the Night and Let It Stink in 2007.

Andersson, Thomas Eriksson, Tobias Egge, and Dolf De Borst from The Hellacopters, who began playing together with "Demons" for the Hellacopters during the later part of The Tour Before the Fall, were among The Hellacopters' breakup. The band claims that they have no interest in recording or releasing any information at this time, and that the only way to experience the band is live shows. The band appeared at Debaser Slussen in Stockholm in early 2009 and had a short tenure at "Fanclub."

A Nicke Andersson solo recording project soon developed to become a touring band with the same members as Cold Ethyl. They toured Scandinavia and Europe from 2010 to 2011 on the back of the first self-titled record (which was released in Jan. 2010). I.S.E performed mainly headline shows and festivals, but Guns N' Roses and KISS also had support act slots, but there were also support act slots. Imperial State Electric was officially named a band proper on the recording of "Pop War" (which was released on March 9, 2012). Two gigs supporting The Hives were launched unofficially, one "by invitation only" sold on March 28, 2012, and another official The Hives gig three days later. The Imperial State Electric Pop War tour officially began in Uppsala, Sweden, on April 4th.

Andersson had joined the band Lucifer as drummer in March 2017. Johanna Sadonis, his now-wife and Lucifer vocalist, began writing songs in 2016 when two of its members had left. Lucifer's second album in Andersson's home studio without a complete band, only guitarist Robin Tidebrink appeared. Lucifer III (2021) and Lucifer IV (2022), the band's third and fourth albums, were all nominated for Best Hard Rock/Metal at the Grammis awards.

Andersson, alongside former bandmate Dregen, Ginger (from The Wildhearts) and Thomas Skogsberg, formed Supershit 666, and their music was very similar to the early Hellacopters'. In 1999, the band issued a self-titled EP but never performed live. Dregen and Ginger have both expressed interest in returning together, perhaps as Supershit 666. Andersson, who was drafted "By the Grace of God," was invited to join Wayne Kramer and the remaining members of the MC5 for their reunion tour in 2003 and 2004. Andersson, a Swedish punk musician, joined KSMB and Strindbergs in 2004. They also released the single (Komma ut ur matchen) NU! NOW! (Gotta get som action) A Swedish version of (Gotta get som action) Anders "Boba" Lindstrom and Dregen from Hellacopters and Sulo from Diamond Dogs joined them. The single also contained an English translation of the KSMB's song Klockan 8. Andersson, a Hellacopter member, recorded drums and guitars for Swedish singer/songwriter Stefan Sundström's 2004 album Hjärtats melody. Andersson produced second album by Dollhouse in Stockholm in late 2005, despite being a producer/co-producer with his own bands. He appeared on Neil Leyton's The Betrayal of the Self album and with Backyard Babies' drummer Dregen. He produced the Backyard Babies' fifth studio album, People Like People Like Us. Andersson and Neil Leyton have a side-project called The Point in 2009, with a 7" single titled "Give it a try" slated for release in the spring of 2010.
