Much has been said about Simone Biles and her mental health struggles during the Tokyo Olympics that took place just three years ago. Biles has since gone on to rebound back to the top of the gymnastics world - thanks in part to her support system that includes her mother, Nellie Biles. Speaking to People Magazine, Nellie admired her daughter's resilience and ability to overcome the darkness that stuck with her after Tokyo.

During the Opening Ceremony for the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles' mother recalled a time where rapper Snoop Dogg blew them off in New York City. Nellie Biles was being interviewed by The Today Show's Hoda Kotb as well as the 'Gin and Juice' rapper as the broadcast of the opening ceremony took place. It was at that time where Nellie recalled when she and Simone were made to wait on the hip hop star. 

When viewers tuned in to the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, a familiar face was noticeably missing.  Simone Biles opted not to attend the star-studded event, held on the Seine Friday evening, alongside Team USA.  However, her parents Ronald and Nellie Biles were quick to explain her absence during an interview with NBC News' Hoda Kotb and Snoop Dogg.

It's been one year since Olympic gymnast Simone Biles celebrated her marriage to NFL star Jonathan Owens with a ceremony in Cabo San Lucas - and the gold medal winner posted the best she could remember from the occasion. Biles posted photos of the big day on her Instagram Story from the ceremony where the couple tied the knot for a second time after previously eloping at a Houston courthouse a week prior. Among the many photos that Biles shared included a snap of her and her mother, Nellie Biles, as they celebrated during a pool party.
