Journey singer Arnel Pineda has placed his fate in the band in the hands of the fans. The Sampaloc, Philippines-born singer, 57, on Sunday suggested the fans vote if he should remain in the band or not, following a heavily-scrutinized September 15 performance at the Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Journey fans took to social media to express their disappointment after the iconic rock band cancelled their UK and Ireland tour at the last minute.  The members of the band gave no explanation to fans why they had pulled out of their 50th anniversary tour and put the decision down to 'circumstances beyond their control'. The rock band, formed in 1973, issued a statement to their fans on Wednesday claiming that 'refunds will be made'. 

George Tickner, a Journey co-founder, died on Thursday at the age of 76. He was a guitarist and original band member but he stopped after the first album, before Journey hit it big. Tickner attended Sandford Medical School for the rest of his life. In 2005, he reunited with the band to be named as a celebrity on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Tickner began recording sessions after leaving the band.

On Wednesday, teen singer Sara James and French magician Nicolas Ribs were selected to the season 17 finals of America's Got Talent. After learning she made the finals, Sara, Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer pick, said, "I'm speechless, literally." 'Thank you so much for every vote.' I'm just a teen girl from America. The fact that I'm even here is unreal,' she explained.
