I hear that the Battle of Britain veteran's grandson, Charley, has threatened legal action against the Douglas Bader Foundation (DBF) after it collapsed under financial pressures. The amputees' charity was created in 1982 by Bader's son-in-law David Bickers, 74, and other friends and family. For at least a decade, Bickers' son Charley - Bader's grandson by his stepdaughter Wendy McCleave - has been an integral part of the organisation, working under a contract basis with his firm Trillion Tree for about £30,000-a-year. Charley was behind the popular Bader's Bus Company flight display team, the first British team made up of disabled pilots, and heavily promoted it in media appearances.

Ernesto Elliott (main) was involved in a knife fight (main) in broad daylight in Greenwich, south-east London, on June 2, 2021. Elliott robbed and killed 35-year-old Nathaniel Eyewu-Ago alongside his son Nico, 23, 23, and his grandmother Nico, 23, 23, Robert Eagle. After being found guilty of knife offense, Elliott was supposed to be on the chartered Boeing 757 on December 2, 2020, according to police reports. But he and 22 other serious offenders appealed last-minute, including human rights, resulting in their removal from Jamaica. Ernesto Elliott (circled and left) was supposed to be aboard a Home Office charter flight in December 2020 but was unable to be arrested due to last-minute human rights protests. Elliott murdered a 35-year-old man in June 2021, six months after he was supposed to have been banned from Britain. Elliott was sentenced to at least 26 years in prison last month for murder, so it can be revealed today. According to police, onlookers who witnessed the bloody, eight-minute confrontation sustained'significant shock.' Elliott, now 45, would not have been sent back to his home country if he had never been sent back to his birth country.
