Career
Visser's first sports were gymnastics and football; she began training in athletics at the age of 13. She represented the Netherlands in the 2011 European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon, winning gold in both the 100 meters and the 4 100 meters relay. At the 2012 World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Visser placed eleventh with 5447 points, placing eleventh as a heptathlete. She finished fourth in the European Junior Championships in Rieti in 2013, scoring 5774 points; in the heptathlon's first round, the 100 m hurdles, she ran 13.21 (+1.5) to smash Dafne Schippers' Dutch junior record from 2011.
Visser set Dutch indoor junior records in both the 60 meters hurdles and pentathlon in 2014; as of 2015, she ranks ninth on the world all-time junior list. Outdoors, Visser participated in the Götzis Hypo-Meeting for the first time, scoring a personal record 6110 points and placing 14th. She competed in both the heptathlon and the 100 m hurdles at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon, winning bronze medals in both events; in the hurdles, she ran in 13 seconds for the first time; under the bridges, she set a new Dutch junior and under 23 seconds. Visser qualified for her first European Championships this summer, representing the Netherlands in the 100 m hurdles; she ran 13.12 (-2.0) in the heats and was barely barred from the semi-finals.
