In a national awards ceremony honoring South Asian cuisine, Britain's best curry houses have been crowned. Following being chosen by 700,000 consumers, the country's best restaurants, takeaways, chefs, and celebrities were unveiled on Sunday night. A national Champion of Champions was given the grand prize by a Hertfordshire curry house (top left), while a Newcastle upon Tyne restaurant was named National Chef of the Year 2022 (top right). And a Manchester eaterie (bottom left) was voted the best takeaway by a vote. Muquim Ahmed (bottom right), a British entrepreneur dubbed 'the first Bangladeshi millionaire' and the 'King of Brick Lane', received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Restaurants were selected based on three main factors: Quality of Food, Quality of Care, and Value for Money were all considered, as well as Food Hygiene Ratings and Google reviews.
