Keep The Sky On 'Meteora,' Linkin Park Keep On The Sky'

Mike Shinoda has never been to Meteora, the site of stunning rock formations in central Greece dating back 60 million years. However, he discovered those otherworldly terrestrial forms on tour with his band Linkin Park in the early 2000s. “We saw the photograph of the area, and it seemed to be from another planet,” he told MTV News recently. It was so bizarre and new." He may have felt the same at the time. Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park's debut in 2000, became the best-selling album of the year, bringing the California six-piece rap-rock band to international prominence. It eventually became a platinum award-winning vehicle. "If it was today, imagine one minute you're making protests in your parents' house, and the next minute, you've produced an album that's bigger than [Justin] Bieber, Drake, Halsey, and Post Malone," he said. Shinoda was determined to make a good sequel, but the pressure was on to produce a good sequel.

Rihanna Is Performing At The Super Bowl — Here's What She Might Play

It's impossible to even speculate when you'll be able to get Rihanna's long-awaited sequel to Anti, her to-date most recent album that dropped in January 2016. Considering that it was many years ago, and considering she has spent the intervening years fielding concerns over a new LP's possibility of misdirection of its potential sonics, calling it R9, for example — it doesn't seem worth it to even play a guessing game anymore. And when it comes to performing?Forget it! She's a new mother. Let her baby have some time with her baby. Of course, that was the most popular line of thinking until midday on September 25, when the news broke that Rih would, in fact, be headlining the halftime show at Super Bowl LVII, which is scheduled to reach Glendale, Arizona's State Farm Stadium on February 12, 2023. Big news!
