Premier League defender lands in Brazil after his national team manager reveals he is set to join Sao Paulo

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 2, 2024
Speaking to local media at an airport in Brazil, the player said: 'I'm super excited to meet all the Sao Paulo fans. I've seen some games and I can't wait to step out on that pitch, so that's the most important thing. For me personally, the Premier League is intense, it's tough, it has a lot of quality, so hopefully I can bring all of that, I can bring my athleticism - I love to run down the wing on the left side of the pitch, defend, attack, score goals, help with assists - so hopefully I can contribute for Sao Paulo.'

Vatican announces new rules to authenticate miracles such as weeping statues, visions of the Virgin Mary and unexplained stigmata as social media sees apocalyptic prophecies spread faster than ever

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 17, 2024
The Catholic Church has a long and controversial history of the faithful claiming to have had visions of the Virgin Mary, of statues that purportedly wept blood tears and stigmata that erupted on hands mimicking the wounds of Christ. When confirmed as authentic by church authorities, these otherwise inexplicable divine signs can lead to a flourishing of the faith, with new religious vocations and conversions. But now the Church is stepping in amid a boom in claims and concern that apocalyptic prophesies are spreading online faster than ever before, causing confusion among the faithful.

Against Michael O'Neill's youthful Northern Ireland team, Scotland's experienced heads seemed devoid of optimism; Steve Clarke may have earned respect in the bank, but he is not above criticism

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 27, 2024
JOHN McGARRY: Steve Clarke was dreadful to say thanks to Michael O'Neill's service with Northern Ireland over two spells dating back to 2011. The Scotland chief has reason to be grateful for the company's triumph. Clarke may not have fulfilled his dream of leading his country if the IFA had not stepped heaven and earth to ensure it continued six years ago. We'll never know, of course, if O'Neill would have spewed his magic dust on Scotland as he has on his own country. That may have been highly likely on this information, however.
