Tina Arena's AFL Final performance draws the most humiliating comparison in footy... but here's what they're REALLY angry about

Tina Arena's performance with Katy Perry the AFL Grand Final left many Australians fuming, but it wasn't just her vocal talents that they took issue with. Her 'blink and you'll miss it' performance in front of 100,000 AFL fans was savagely compared to Meat Loaf 's disastrous 2011 AFL Grand Final headlining set. But Aussies' anger was also down to the fact that Tina - a vocal disapprover of Victoria's past stringent Covid-19 lockdown rules - had been signed up for the gig.

When 67-year-old Peter Young was interviewed by his local BBC news station, he was excited to see himself on the TV. However, little did he know that the conversation would change his life. Peter, from Blackpool, is a professional tribute artist for the late American rockstar Meat Loaf. For the past two decades, he has made a living dressing up and performing the singer's hits such as I'd Do Anything for Love. So, when Meat Loaf - real name Michael Lee Aday - died in January 2021, BBC Look North reached out to Peter to get his reaction. 'I was honoured to be asked,' says Peter. 'I did the interview by Zoom and then nothing else about it. But, later that day, when I watched myself on TV, I saw a pronounced gap on the bottom row of my teeth that I hadn't noticed before.'

A Welsh train conductor who used to be a heavy metal band frontman has become a cult hero for singing songs and making the tannoy announcements more musical. Chris Edwards' (pictured left, and right as the lead singer of a heavy metal Christian band) performances have become legendary among regular passengers on routes in Wales, the West Country and other parts of England. The 61-year-old, from Newport, used to front a Christian heavy metal band but now loves putting smiles on passengers' faces and helps total strangers become friends. The list of tunes he sings his announcements to has now reached 220, with his favourites including Queen's We Are The Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody, Tom Jones ' Delilah, Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell and Candle in the Wind by Elton John. But as he heads towards retirement, the Welshman said he often receives requests for songs by more modern artists he's unfamiliar with.
Naked boys and a raging Meat Loaf. The crazy story behind the sudden revival of that karaoke classic, Total Eclipse Of The Heart

Six security guards, each with a dog, guarded the Victorian-built, former infirmary where we shot the video for Total Eclipse Of The Heart. You couldn't imagine a scarier place. It is said that dogs have a sixth sense and those six animals wouldn't go anywhere near the morgue or the room where doctors used to administer electric shocks to patients. This rambling building near Virginia Water in Surrey was called Holloway Sanatorium. It was a former hospital for the mentally-ill and its vast echoing emptiness struck terror into all of us. But it did suit the mood of the song - and the extravagant imagination of the great Jim Steinman, dubbed the Lord of Excess, who directed the video and wrote Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

Lance Davis, a beekeeper, has made an internet sensation out of saving Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev at the Indian Wells tournament in the United States, and it's no wonder. When more than 2,500 bees descended on court just ten minutes into their quarter final in California, Alcaraz and Zverev fled for cover. Fans of the game were alerted that the 'bee invasion' had stopped the match, which was described as a first for the sport.
