After he struck and killed the homeless woman in Houston on Friday, Hunter Cameron Villasana, 17, has been charged with trying to escape the scene. The teen told investigators they would give them money on Venmo if they let him go. According to KHOU, they allegedly barred Villasana from leaving the scene after he attempted to take off on foot. According to police, the teen was driving his Black Mercedes when he collided with a curb, rushed over the woman, who had been asleep on the median, and crashed a wall. Villasana is also accused of lying to police, after he reportedly first stated that the woman was walking in the middle of the street when he struck her. The homeless woman has not been identified, but police claim she was a white woman in her 50s. Anybody who may have known her has been asked to contact the Houston Police Department, according to police. The teen was charged with a second-degree murder charge.
