Since defensive lineman DaQuan Jones and linebacker Matt Milano were banned out permanently on Monday, the Buffalo Bills are expected to be without two key defenders for the next two years. Jones will have surgery after tearing a pectoral muscle during Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott, while Milano will suffer an injury. Both of the injuries occurred early in the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, prompting Bills CB Taron Johnson to blame the turf at the Premier League soccer arena for the numerous injuries.

PETER CARLINE AT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR STADIUM: Following the Buffalo Bills' 25-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Taron Johnson, the Bills cornerback, called for the NFL field at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to be knocked out. In the first quarter, the Bills lost two key players, All Pro linebacker Matt Milano and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones. Milano sustained a knee injury in a pile-up and Jones, a pectoral. Johnson was briefly injured in the second half, but Von Miller, who played his first game since tearing his ACL in November, saw his afternoon as a precaution.

According to Adam Schefter, the contract does not only ties down the star backer through the 2026 season, but it does creates about $6 million in cap space for 2023. Milano made his first All-Pro and Pro Bowl picks last season, with 99 tackles, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries in 15 starts. It's unclear if the Bills will re-sign stud linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, as it remains to be seen if the move to tie down Milano.
