The death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza will make negotiations with Israel 'extremely difficult' and could prolong a drawn out war in the region, experts warn. Hamas' leader in Gaza was killed on Wednesday in an Israeli strike in the Palestinian enclave, the IDF confirmed today after an extensive study of dental records. Dr Andreas Krieg, Assistant Professor of Defence Studies at King's College London , said the confirmation would come as an 'extremely symbolic event for Israel' after more than a year embroiled in intense clashes with Hamas in Gaza.
