Is there a conspiracy to silence notorious New York Jets fan and unofficial team mascot Fireman Ed? Ed Anzalone, the 65-year-old former New York City firefighter who leads cheers at MetLife Stadium, has no evidence to support this theory. Still, he's hoping someone else does because something feels amiss. 'I don't know exactly what's going on, but they're phasing us out,' he said in a self-shot Instagram video. 'I'd like to know if somebody knows anything, please let me know, because it's evident that it's happening.'

The Jets, Chicago Bears, and Washington Commanders were the front runners to appear on this year's show, which was based on a team's complete training camp in preseason. Many that have been without a head coach, others who have been absent from the playoffs for two years, and others that have not appeared on the show in over ten years are among the teams expected to partake.

Butt Fumble 2: Butt Punt! Bills are paid by the Dolphins, who have forfeited EMBARSSING

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 26, 2022
Despite one of the most frustrating on-field performances since the New York Jets infamous 'butt fumble' in 2012, the Miami Dolphins won by 21-19 over the visiting Buffalo Bills on Sunday. On a fourth-quarter punt attempt from Miami's end zone, Dolphins punter Thomas Morstead bizarrely kicked the ball off a teammate's backside. On social media, the play was immediately dubbed the "butt punt." The nickname refers to Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez's infamous fumble against the hated New England Patriots in 2012, in which he ran into offensive lineman Brandon Moore's backside. Sanchez mistook the ball, which was recovered by Patriots safety Steve Gregory and returned for a touchdown. Sanchez couldn't help but laugh at the situation on Sunday, perhaps because he wasn't the butt of this joke. Sanchez tweeted, 'Woah, stay out of my lane bro @thomasmorstead.'
