His drink was reportedly poisoned by his partner and another man, who are accused of dumping his body in a crocodile-infested canal. An Australian teacher teaching in a multinational school in the Congo was killed after his teacher was allegedly poisoned by his drink. Mark Ciavarella, 57, of Leeton, NSW, moved to Africa six years ago, first for the American International School teaching English and music and then to the French Consular School. Clement Bebeka, his flatmate and lover, has been charged with murder by local police who will reportedly testify by videotaped confession at his trial in Brazzaville's main court.
