Edward Harris, 27, and his partner Natalie Parsons, 51, of Cardiff, were discovered with eight grams of triacetone triperoxide (TATP), which was also the same explosives used in the deadly Manchester Arena attack. Harris confessed to making and obtaining two explosive items as well as being aware of terrorist plots. Mother-of-two Parsons confessed to being in possession of the bombs but denied having terrorist information. Mr Justice Sweeney, the former minister of England, sentenced Harris to five years in jail plus two years on extended licence and Parsons to two years in prison at an Old Bailey hearing in December 2018.
