Roy St Pierre, 77, had been cycling from his home in Portugal to see his family and newborn granddaughter in England when he was admitted to a hospital on the Costa Blanca with stomach pain. There he was prescribed Nolotil, a painkiller which is common in Spain but banned in the UK, and has been known to wipe out patients' white blood cells and increase the risk of sepsis. Within hours of being given the drug, the grandfather-of-ten died of an infection after undergoing surgery, with his family saying his immune system had been 'taken away when he needed it most'. Now his daughter Eve (pictured left) is urging people going to Spain to be aware of the potentially deadly side effects of the drug.

Bryson DeChambeau became the darling of the PGA Championship - is he the only man to join LIV and get MORE popular?

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 25, 2024
On the 10th tee of the final round of the PGA Championship, Bryson DeChambeau captured the hearts of the golf world. An older man reached in front of a young kid and snatched the ball DeChambeau had tossed to him. DeChambeau immediately halted, backtracked and confronted the man. In the thick of the tournament, he wouldn't have been blamed for missing it but instead, it became a move that earned him praise as a 'man of the people'. It was a long way from the beefy disruptor of the past few years but somehow, at Valhalla, DeChambeau completed his transformation from LIV Golf villain to the hero of the PGA Championship.

I could smell rotting in the dead flesh of a victim. Victims, including amputations and life-changing wounds, were revealed by the victims as Spanish doctors continue to use painkillers

A British woman who lived in Spain explained how she had to have a portion of her feet and fingers amputated after she went into septic shock and her skin began to 'rot', according to doctors, who attributed her symptoms to Nolotil. Another elderly woman in her 60s has shared how she suffered 'terrible' side effects, which made her life 'horrible,' after she was given Nolotil to help ease shoulder pains. Nolotil, a brand name for metamizole, has been outlawed in the United Kingdom and more than 40 countries around the world, but doctors in Spain have reported the word 'Nolotil if pain'. It can cause a condition called agranulocytosis, which wipes out white blood cells, boosting the chance of sepsis and even triggering organ failure and other severe disorders.

Despite being attributed to over 40 deaths, the £3 painkiller has been banned in the United Kingdom and is being served out in YOUR new holiday destinations

According to campaigners, Brits going to holiday hotspots such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Belgium could be given a painkiller outlawed in the UK that has killed at least 40 Britons in Spain since 2016. Mark Brooks (left), a native of Derbyshire, was thought to be the first victim of the drug metamizole (inset). His death follows the deaths of Brits Gloria and Alan Robson (top right) in 2017 and Lorna Vincent (left of the bottom right) in 2018. Since safety issues emerged internationally in the 1960s and 1970s, the majority of Brits haven't even heard of metamizole. However, it is the go-to painkiller for physicians in countries such as Spain, with many doctors referring to the phrase 'Nolotil if pain.' Metamizole, which can be available as tablets or injection, is a prescription only drug in Spain, which means it should only be administered after consultation with a physician. However, there are indications that this isn't strictly followed.

After discovering that dozens of British tourists, including a golfer with a sore shoulder, died, British doctors have been warned of a 'killer painkiller' that has been used by Spanish doctors, including a golfer who had a sore shoulder: 'More people are going to die,' Brits have been warned.'

Metamizole, a drug commonly sold under the brand Nolotil, is outlawed in the United Kingdom and more than 40 countries, but physicians in Spain are also known as 'Nolotil if pain,'. Cristina Garcia del Campo, the founder of the Association of Drug Affected People (ADAF), said she has collected evidence of more than 100 cases where British patients suffered adverse side effects after being given Nolotil. She said she knew of almost 40 Britons who have died after being given the drug since 2016, adding that the true number might be much larger. Mark Brooks, a father of one from Derbyshire, is believed to be the newest victim. After complaining of pain while golfing near his house in Alicante, the otherwise healthy 42-year-old died four days later. You don't want something like that to happen so suddenly while playing golf in sunny Spain, a young, fit, healthy man with a young child.' Del Campo said. You shouldn't expect to die,' he says.

Mark Brooks, 42, was golfing near his home in Alicante when he began to complain of shoulder pains. The father-of-one went to his local health clinic in Costa Blanca, where he was given Nolotil, the brand name for metamizole, which is outlawed in the United Kingdom. The gardener from Derbyshire was rushed to the Torrevie hospital, where doctors said he had depleted white blood cells and was suffering from sepsis. The tragedy is the latest in a string of deaths due to the drug in Spain, where UK tourists were forbidden from purchasing the common painkiller after experts reported that deadly blood poisoning caused by it was more common among British citizens. Schools should accept responsibility for Andrew Tate's fame, according to a male domestic violence activist

Schools are partially responsible for Andrew Tate's fame (left and inset), an influencer known for his misogynistic views, according to a masculinity activist. The 36-year-old man, who was accused of sex trafficking, rape, and establishing a joint criminal group to help victims, has been detained in a Romanian jail since December 29. Tate's volatile masculinity, according to Mark Brooks (right), co-founder of the Men and Boys Coalition, is because boys are "unfairly treated by culture," and that schools are not properly addressing their problems.
