Villa need depth for their squad after qualifying for the Champions League and want to add a full-back, versatile centre-back, such as Atletico Madrid's soon to be free agent Mario Hermoso, two midfielders and a forward. Chelsea's Conor Gallagher is also of interest.

PETE JENSON: Real Madrid defeated Real Madrid in Riyadh by an eight-goal thriller to advance to the Spanish Super Cup final. In Carlo Ancelotti's 5-3 win, it was the Madrid derby on tour with Diego Simeone's Atletico their opponents. The game featured everything from a record-breaking Antoine Griezmann miracle goal, jeers for Toni Kroos, and the last-minute sight of Jan Oblak chasing back from the Real Madrid half to try to catch runaway Brahim Diaz, who scored the last goal of the game.
