Rowena Gander (left) is one of around 40 artists selected from a field of dancers, musicians, and actors who will stripping off for about 40 people as part of Marina Abramovic's exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts. One performance sees a naked man and woman (as seen in Rowena and Kieram Corrin Mitchell right) standing opposite each other, blocking the way to visitors who must navigate their way past them. Rowena, based in Liverpool, described her work as "a one-hour performance of reciprocal gazing with a partner as people pass through our naked bodies as if it were a doorway to the art." "I have a million good ideas about audience involvement with the work," she said. People were apologizing last night, not the main one at the launch.'
