Israeli public figures had slammed A-list stars for wearing red hand pins in support of a Gaza ceasefire, as they claim the photograph on the pin recalls gruesome 2000 Ramallah lynching of two Israeli men who mistakenly killed on film. A crowd of Palestinian rioters stabbed and beat the soldiers to death before yanking out their organs and posing for a picture of bloodied hands in front of a cheering crowd. During the Second Intifada, the photo became a symbol of brutality.

Meghan Markle's "Archetypes" Podcast Goes on Hiatus After Queen Elizabeth II's Death

www.popsugar.co.uk, September 12, 2022
Meghan Markle is apparently putting her "Archetypes" podcast on hiatus after Queen Elizabeth II's death on September 8. The throne was 96. This week's episode is being aired, and it's unclear when the podcast will return. Markle's greatest joy, right now, is to support her husband Prince Harry, as he mourns the death of his grandmother. On Saturday, Markle and Harry, Prince William, and Kate, Princess of Wales, walked alongside the queen and mourners as they walked the grounds of Windsor Castle to pay their respects to the queen and speak to mourners. Harry and Markle will likely remain in the United Kingdom at least through the next week as Queen Elizabeth's funeral is scheduled to take place on September 19th. It only makes sense for "Archetypes" to halt new episodes for now as England enters a period of mourning alongside the royal family.

Meghan Markle and Mariah Carey Talk Growing Up Biracial: "They Want to Put You in a Box"

www.popsugar.co.uk, August 31, 2022
Meghan Markle's "Archetypes" podcast isn't shying away from essential and challenging topics such as gender, race, and culture. Mariah Carey, the Duchess of Sussex's second visitor, was featured on the Spotify audio series "duality of diva" and negative connotations associated with the brand this week. Markle and Carey also found common ground in growing biracial, and discussed their personal experiences during their talks. Carey recalled of her childhood, with Markle's comment that the singer "grew up poor in a mixed race family when interracial marriages were so uncommon in the United States." "I remember being in school in this predominantly white neighborhood, where my mother felt safe, and I did my best to feel secure," Carey, whose mother Patricia is white and late father Alfred was Black, continued. "But this kid was in the hallway and he said, 'Mariah has three shirts and she wears them on rotation." And it was as if it was real. . .. But I was really like why do you care? You get what you get in a world where you're the mixed kid of a full-on white neighborhood.

Following her and Prince Harry's royal departure in a rare interview with The Cut, Duchess of Sussex spoke about her latest ventures, including her newly launched "Archetypes" podcast, published on August 29. Markle talked about her decision to abandon social media (and the possibility of returning to at least one platform), her and Harry's return to Montecito, California, Netflix's forthcoming projects, and how they're currently instructing their son, Archie, manners. She also discussed how she and the Duke of Sussex discovered their $64 million Montecito home. Markle's latest interview comes nearly a year and a half after she and Harry first chatted with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 for a wide-ranging television interview. Meghan Markle's first episode of her Archetypes podcast is finally published

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 23, 2022
Meghan Markle yesterday said she was compelled to continue with her engagements on a royal tour of South Africa despite being left in tears after her son Archie barely escaped a fire in his bedroom. The Duchess of Sussex relived her experience on her long-awaited 'Archetypes' podcast, which was released on Spotify today in a chat with tennis great Serena Williams. Meghan expressed her displeasure with her son's near-miss involving her son, which involved a heater in a nursery room catching fire soon after delivering a speech to girls in Cape Town, before rushing back to see Archie and then having to leave him to attend another official function. The Duchess also chastised those who mocked her for being "ambitious" when she started dating Prince Harry in a broad interview on her first episode of her long-awaited 'Archetypes' podcast. Meghan spoke to Serena Williams, author of 'The Misconception of Ambition,' about the double standards women face when they are described as 'ambitious'. She also revealed that she had suffered "behind closed doors" and that she did not 'ever remember personally experiencing the word optimistic until I started dating my now husband. And, of course, aspiration is a terrible, sad thing.' 'According to some, it is a woman that is not.' Meghan, a mother who lives in California with Harry and their two children, has expressed her dissatisfaction with a belief that if you're an adventurous woman with an agenda, you must be calculating or selfish, or militant, or a climber,' she said.
