Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping tabs on one of the Premier League's brightest young goalkeepers as the German giants look to line up a succession plan for club legend Manuel Neuer. The English top-flight star missed the first couple of matches of the season through injury but since then has played every minute for their club in the Premier League. It is no surprise then that some of Europe's biggest clubs have been monitoring the 22-year-old with Bayern the latest side to show interest, Sky Sport Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports.

Aston Villa have made a touching tribute to club legend Gary Shaw ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich. The 1982 European Cup winner died at the age of 63 in September after injuring his head from a fall. Shaw made 213 appearances for his boyhood club and scored 79 goals. He is regarded as one of Villa's best forwards in the club's 150-year history. Thomas Muller has decided to retire from international football following Germany's elimination from Euro 2024, according to a report. The 34-year-old was part of Julian Nagelsmann 's side that thrilled at the tournament before ultimately coming unstuck at the quarter-final stage in their home tournament. Muller made only two appearances off the bench during the tournament, earning his 130th and 131st cap for the national team.
