Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are already inextricably linked in basketball history. Now the Chicago Sky rookie is opening up about her Indiana Fever rival.

One social-media user's picture with Michael Jordan came out devastatingly blurry. His plea for help on X only made things worse, as some took his outreach to fix the photo in a variety of ways. In the original photo, the user @LethalShooter__, whose real name is Chris Matthews, got a photo with arguably the greatest athlete of all time where their handshake and outlines are clear. Both faces did not focus in the photo. Matthews, 39, also posted photos from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, and with Magic Johnson from this past weekend.

Basketball legend Magic Johnson celebrated his 4th of July on a luxury yacht in Ibiza alongside his wife, Cookie, and A-list friends Samuel L. Jackson and Cedric the Entertainer. Johnson's good friend John Palmer was also on the trip. Jackson, Cedric, and Palmer were also joined by their respective partners to complete the eight-person trip. Johnson shared photos of the trip on his Instagram late Thursday with the caption 'A great day celebrating the Fourth of July with our friends overseas!'

To help make things for authentic, Kimmel is pictured wearing a t-shirt with a photoshopped image of himself and the Lakers NBA icon riding on a jet ski together. The original photo, which was posted on Johnson's Instagram, showed the happy couple cruising along the water dressed in their summer white ensembles without any signs of Kimmel.

Fans scolded the five-time NBA champion for posting details of his extravagant lifestyle on Instagram - a habit Johnson seems to have every summer. 'Yes I look forward to your vacation posts every summer. Thanks for bringing us along. Enjoy,' a person joked on social media. Johnson's vacation comes days after his former team - the LA Lakers - drafted LeBron James' son, Bronny, in the second round of the NBA Draft.

'I don't think I've ever been [Reese's] teammate before, even at USA Basketball,' Clark said Tuesday night after her Indiana Fever fell to the reigning-champion Las Vegas Aces, 88-69, in front of 20,366 fans - the fifth largest crowd in league history. Reese, a power forward for the Chicago Sky, and Clark are headlining the WNBA All-Star team that will square off with the US Olympic squad on July 20 in Phoenix.

The Clark/Reese rivalry has taken on a life of its own in the WNBA - and given a whole new level to the already lively rivalry between Chicago and Indiana that was established before the stars were drafted there. In many ways, it mirrors the rivalry between Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. Both were drafted to teams that hated each other in Boston and Los Angeles and both were competitive athletes.

Smith thinks WNBA fans are projecting their 'fears' about America's white population 'evaporating' onto Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese amid their bitter rivalry.  The ESPN pundit offered his thoughts on whether he believes the pair, who have skyrocketed to fame over the past few months, were being weaponized as part of a 'race war.'   'I don't think so, but that's a valid question,' he began a segment on Wednesday's episode of his network show, First Take.

The highly-anticipated matchup averaged 2.25 million viewers, a 225% increase over an average game last season.

But the ESPN host does think league officials have their eye on the Chicago Sky star - particularly in the presence of her fellow rookie. Clark's Indiana Fever beat Reese's Sky on Sunday to improve to 2-0 against Chicago on the season. The game was marred by several hard fouls on Clark, who absorbed similar contact from the Sky's Chennedy Carter in the form of a hip check during Indiana's win over Chicago two weeks earlier.
