According to public records, top college football recruit Arch Manning, his family, and other interested candidates were given over $280,000 worth of hospitality and perks during a highly awaited school visit in June. On Friday, the Athletic released details from those papers, revealing that the school rolled out the red carpet by booking a luxurious hotel for the Mannings and the families of other eight other recruits. A visit to a luxurious driving range and a cruise on a nearby lake were also included in luxurious meals and nonstop entertainment. Arch, the best high school quarterback recruit in the class of 2023 and uncle of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, put an end to months of rumors by committing to the Longhorns three days after the June visit. He has not spoken out about his selection, but The Athletic was able to obtain information about the trip through a public records request. Archie Manning, the son of Peyton and Eli's older brother, Cooper, who was also a top college recruit before his NCAA football career was cut short due to spinal stenosis, was named for his grandfather.
